Falls Church Festival 2018

If you’re looking for an event that satisfies everyone, look no further.

Foodies, musicians, and youngsters, unite! The annual Falls Church Festival (formerly Taste of Falls Church), featuring live music, tasty food, and kids’ entertainment, will be held September 15, 2018 at Cherry Hill Park and the Community Center parking lot. If you’re looking for an event that satisfies everyone, look no further. Held rain or shine, the attractions are endless.

The Beer Garden, a favorite from the 2017 festival, will return this year with a vast variety of brews. From 11:30 am to 3:30 pm, patrons over 21 can purchase craft beverages, and proceeds will be donated to a soon-to-be-announced non-profit organization. Don’t forget to bring a valid ID!

For those not looking to imbibe, an impressive roster of restaurants will be serving taste testers throughout the venue. Most samples require one ticket, worth three dollars, but some require two. Individual taste tickets are for sale, or guests can purchase 10 for $25. Keep an eye out for updates on which local kitchens will be serving up delectable treats this year.

Younger audiences will delight in the pony rides, amusement rides, and the renowned Louis the Magician, the D.C. area’s most popular children’s magician. Louis was a fan favorite at the Falls Church Memorial Day Festival and is back by popular demand. Families will also love the selection of live music, which includes soul musicians such as the Sudden M Pac Band and the Hayley Fahey Band.

For a bit more energy, dust off your boogie shoes for the Latin tunes of Zakke, whose party music is infused with other genres like funk and disco. The 19th Street Band also brings in the noise with their unique blend of rock, country, and Americana.

Additionally, civic associations will be distributing information on how to keep Falls Church City booming, and local crafters and artisans will have work on display and for sale.

Make sure to plan transportation logistics, as street parking can be limited. The Community Center parking lot will also provide some parking, as well as the two public parking garages (located at Kaiser Permanente and George Mason Square). Admission to the festival is free, but food and rides require the purchase of tickets. Festivities begin at 10 am and wrap up at 4 pm.
